Our platform offers many different functionalities. Not all of them are equally well known. Some are suitable for very specific use cases, while others offer added value for almost any company. Wondering which functionalities might be of interest to your company? Read along and discover 11 functionalities in Seamly that you might not have known yet!

1. Uploading files

Using Seamly, users can upload and send attachments in the chatbot. These files can be sent along with other data to an email address or endpoint. For example, think of sending an invoice or a resume.

2. Real-time translations

Seamly's Translations module makes it possible to help users with real-time translations directly into the preferred language. You can think of a Dutch-speaking user chatting with a French-speaking agent. Both individuals communicate in their own language, and we automatically translate everything both ways.

3. Analytics API

As a customer of Seamly, you get free use of an Analytics API. This allows you to retrieve data yourself and store it in a database. From this data you can extract all kinds of insights that will help you improve your customer service. Or you can use it for your sales and marketing. The possibilities are endless.

4. Data normalization

Postal codes, house numbers, dates or phone numbers are rarely passed on by your customers in the same way. Where one customer says ‘tomorrow’, another pronounces the full date. ZIP codes are often pronounced using the spelling alphabet. 1234 AB becomes ‘1234 Albert Bernard’. We make it possible to normalize these dates so that zip codes, dates and other data always end up correctly in your systems.

5. Personalized greeting

As a customer with Seamly, you can ensure that your customers always receive a personalized greeting. We can also set up to greet customers based on the time of day. So between 6:00 pm and 11:59 pm, we greet your customer or client with: “Good evening, Jan. What can we help you with?”

6. A/B testing

Want to test elements in your chatbot? It’s possible to set up an A/B test in which your customers are randomly divided into two or more groups. For example, you can test whether customers have a more positive experience when questions are asked in a certain way.

7. Meta-based translations

We can activate translations directly based on metadata in the chatbot. If the chatbot recognizes the word “English” or “Español,” we immediately translate the conversation into the corresponding language.

8. Detect anonymous callers

With Seamly Voice, you can detect if someone is calling anonymously and communicate this to the bot. Do you send text messages for verification? Then we automatically make sure that SMS verification is not sent to anonymous callers. The caller can also be notified of this. 

9. Improve voicebot pronunciation

Did you know that it is possible to improve the voicebot's pronunciation by setting phonetic pronunciations? We communicate to the text-to-speech system that a word like “chat” should not be pronounced as “shaat”. This way, we ensure that a conversation with the voicebot goes smoothly.

10. Silence recognition

When a caller remains silent, we recognize it and speak a message. We then repeat the question, for example, or connect to an agent or hang up the phone. It is also possible to do this incrementally. The voicebot first responds with “I didn't hear anything, that's why I'm repeating the question.” Then “I still haven't heard, repeating the question one more time”. Finally, the voicebot responds with “the connection is now disconnected because I haven't heard anything”. If desired, you can also transfer to a live agent.

11. Sending customer data (for Inbenta users)

Are you using chatbot supplier Inbenta? Then it is possible to send customer data along with each question to the chatbot, which then ends up in your Inbenta dashboard. This way you can build up a complete profile of your customer.
