We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Engineer (32-40h) ready for a challenge! Do you want to be an important part of the quality of an innovative SaaS product? Then we are looking for you!
Who are we?
Seamly makes customer contact smarter by giving chatbots a voice. We enable organizations to easily extend their existing conversational platforms to the phone channel — making their digital assistants available not only via chat, but also by phone.
By adding voice to existing chatbots, we help organizations deliver a consistent, personal experience across every channel. This reduces the pressure on support teams and makes customer contact faster, more efficient, and more human. With Seamly, organizations can effortlessly scale to voice without overhauling their existing technology.
Your role: ensuring quality and reliability
As a Senior Test Engineer, you play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software. You’ll be responsible for both functional and automated testing of the solutions developed by our engineering team. You’ll have a clear vision for the testing process and take the lead in continuously improving it.
You’ll work closely with developers, delivery, and support teams to ensure smooth releases. With your technical expertise, attention to detail, and proactive attitude, you’ll elevate our testing approach to the next level.
What will you be doing?
-
Testing process: Design, implement, and maintain a structured testing process — from planning to reporting — and continuously refine it.
-
Functional testing: Test new and modified features, perform regression tests, and independently determine testing priorities.
-
Automated testing: Set up automated tests for repetitive tasks and integrate them into our CI/CD environment.
-
Release testing: Prepare and coordinate release tests with Delivery & Support, and report findings back to the development team.
-
Specification & advice: Contribute early in the development cycle by assessing the impact of changes and how to test them effectively.
-
Support: Assist second-line support with technical questions and act as the bridge between development and support.
You are:
- Accurate & consistent: You work in a structured and precise way, ensuring results are reproducible and transferable.
- Technically skilled: You have a solid programming background and can navigate complex codebases with ease.
- Independent & responsible: You take ownership of your work and aren’t afraid to make decisions.
- Curious: You stay up to date with new tools, technologies, and best practices.
- Communicative: You communicate clearly, give constructive feedback, and share knowledge with your colleagues.
- Efficient & results-oriented: You set priorities, manage timelines, and deliver thorough, timely work.
- Security-minded: You’re familiar with ISO27k and the OWASP Top 10, and apply this knowledge in your testing approach.
What else do you bring?
- At least 4 years of experience as a functional tester for web applications
- At least 2 years of experience with automated testing
- At least 3 years of experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Knowledge of CI/CD, Git/GitFlow, and tools such as Playwright, K6, or ExUnit (a plus)
- Affinity with functional programming languages is an advantage
- Experience writing test plans and scenarios
- Bachelor’s degree level of education or equivalent experience
- Professional proficiency in Dutch (spoken and written)
- We ideally seek someone available full-time (40 hours), though a 32-hour workweek is negotiable
